Upon arrival in Arusha, you will meet our professional driver at the airport and be transferred to your hotel in Arusha. After check-in and some time to relax, you will meet our safari consultant for a detailed safari briefing.
You will also meet your professional safari guide, who will brief you about the itinerary, daily activities, wildlife experiences, and what to expect during your safari.
Overnight: Arusha
After breakfast, depart from Arusha and begin your journey toward the Southern Serengeti and the Ndutu Area. Enjoy the scenic landscapes as you travel toward one of the most important areas of the Great Wildebeest Migration.
As you approach Ndutu, begin your game drive with a focus on the migrating wildebeest and the predators that follow the herds. During the calving season, the area attracts large numbers of wildebeest, creating excellent opportunities to search for lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and other wildlife.
Your professional guide will follow wildlife movements and recent sightings to maximize your game-viewing experience.
Overnight: Ndutu Area
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the Ndutu Area during the spectacular calving season. Spend the full day following the wildebeest herds across the open plains and searching for newborn calves.
This is also an excellent time to observe the relationship between the migrating herds and predators. Your guide will search for lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and other wildlife while giving you time to enjoy photography and observe natural wildlife behavior.
The game-drive route will be adapted according to where the herds and wildlife are concentrated, helping you make the most of your full day in the Ndutu Area.
Overnight: Ndutu Area
Enjoy a morning or half-day game drive in the Ndutu Area. This gives you another opportunity to experience the migration, search for newborn wildebeest, and encounter big cats before leaving the Southern Serengeti.
After the game drive, begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Highlands. Enjoy the beautiful changing landscapes as you travel from the open Serengeti plains toward the highlands.
Arrive at your accommodation for dinner and overnight, ready for the following day’s Ngorongoro Crater experience.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Highlands
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable final wildlife experience. The early morning crater drive gives you the opportunity to explore the crater floor when wildlife is active.
Your guide will focus on searching for a black or white rhinoceros, giving you the opportunity to complete your Big Five experience if you have already encountered lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo during the safari.
You will also have opportunities to see lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, flamingos, and many other species.
On Day 5, we recommend booking a late-evening flight from 20:00 onwards to allow sufficient time for the Ngorongoro Crater experience and the transfer.
