Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival – Nairobi Airport to Amboseli National Park

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and meet your safari guide. Drive approximately
4–5 hours to Amboseli National Park, passing through rural Kenyan landscapes and small
villages. After lunch at your lodge or camp, enjoy an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is famous for its
large elephant herds, lions, giraffes, and zebras, all set against the majestic backdrop of Mount
Kilimanjaro. Return for dinner and overnight in the park.

Day 2: Amboseli to Arusha

Take an early morning game drive in Amboseli to catch elephants and other wildlife at their most
active. After breakfast, drive across the border into Tanzania and head to Arusha for lunch and
overnight. Arusha serves as the gateway to northern Tanzania’s safari circuit and offers a chance
to rest and prepare for the Serengeti flight.

Day 3: Fly from Arusha to Northern Serengeti – Mara River Area

Take a short scenic flight from Arusha to the northern Serengeti near the Mara River. Upon
arrival, check into your lodge or mobile camp and enjoy an afternoon game drive.
This area is famous for the dramatic wildebeest river crossings during the Great Migration
(seasonal), as well as resident predators like lions and crocodiles. Capture breathtaking wildlife
moments along the Mara River before dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full Day in Mara River – Migration & River Crossing

Spend a full day exploring the Mara River region with morning and afternoon game drives.
Track the Great Migration as herds of wildebeest and zebras navigate the river, encountering
predators. Optional picnic lunch in the park, guided walks along the riverbanks, and sunset
photography opportunities.

Day 5: Full Day in Mara River – Migration & River Crossing

Another full day dedicated to following the Great Migration. Focus on witnessing predator-prey
interactions, river crossings, and large herds grazing across the northern Serengeti. Afternoon
game drive allows for additional wildlife photography and viewing of Big Cats.

Day 6: Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti

After breakfast, drive southwards into central Serengeti, home to vast plains and abundant
wildlife. Enjoy game drives en route, spotting lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants. Arrive at
your lodge or camp in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive in central Serengeti’s rich
ecosystem.

Day 7: Full Day in Central Serengeti

Spend a full day exploring central Serengeti. Focus on predator sightings and the Big Five, while
enjoying the iconic Serengeti landscape of rolling plains dotted with acacia trees. Optional hot
air balloon safari at sunrise for a unique aerial perspective of wildlife (additional cost).

Day 8: Central Serengeti to Karatu Area

Morning game drive in Serengeti, then drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Check in to your
lodge in Karatu for relax. Overnight in Karatu.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater – Full Day Game Drive

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Witness one of the densest
wildlife populations in Africa, including lions, elephants, buffalo, and the rare black rhino. Picnic
lunch on the crater floor and an afternoon drive before returning to your lodge in Karatu for
dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Tarangire National Park to Kilimanjaro International Airport

Drive to Tarangire National Park for a half-day game drive. Tarangire is famous for its giant
baobab trees, large elephant herds, and diverse birdlife. After lunch, transfer to Kilimanjaro
International Airport for your departure flight, concluding your East African adventure.
