Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Later in the day, you will receive a detailed trek briefing from your professional mountain guide, including safety procedures, altitude awareness, and a full equipment check.

Day 2: Arusha – Machame Gate – Machame Camp

After breakfast, drive to Machame Gate for registration and meet your trekking crew. Begin the climb through dense rainforest rich in birdlife, towering trees, and colobus monkeys. The trail steadily ascends to Machame Camp, where you rest and acclimatize.

Day 3: Machame Camp – Shira Camp

Leave the rainforest behind and enter the moorland zone, where the vegetation becomes sparse and views open toward Mount Meru and Kibo Peak. Cross the scenic Shira Plateau before reaching Shira Camp.

Day 4: Shira Camp – Lava Tower – Barranco Camp

This is a crucial acclimatization day. Trek uphill to Lava Tower (4,630m), then descend into the stunning Barranco Valley. The “climb high, sleep low” approach helps your body adjust to altitude while offering spectacular views of the Breach Wall and glaciers.

Day 5: Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp

After breakfast, climb the famous Barranco Wall, a fun and rewarding scramble with panoramic views. Continue across ridges and valleys to Karanga Camp, then proceed to Barafu Camp, your base camp for the summit attempt. Spend the afternoon resting, hydrating, and preparing for the climb.

Day 6: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Camp

Begin the summit attempt around midnight. Trek slowly under the stars to Stella Point, then continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa, arriving at sunrise. After photos and celebration, descend carefully to Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest.

Day 7: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – Arusha

After breakfast, descend through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your summit certificates. Transfer back to Arusha for relaxation and celebration.

Day 8: Departure – Kilimanjaro International Airport
